I've been knitting for more than forty years.
Designing has been part of my life for decades.
But after my mother died, I descovered something I hadn't fully understood before.
Knitting wasn't just something I loved to do.
It was something that could carry me through.
That experiece changed me.
It reminded me that making something with our hands isn't just about the finished object.
Sometimes it's about comfort.
Sometimes it's about celebration.
Sometimes it's about remembering someone we love.
And sometimes it's simply about making it through one more day.
That's why I created Knit A Rainbow.

Currently on my worktable...
One of my favorite parts of this creative life is getting to collaborate with talented friends. Right now, I'm working with my friend Crystal on her newest Maker's Box, designing two exclusive patterns—a pair of socks and a shawl.
The sock pattern is finished (which means I'll be looking for preview knitters very soon!), and now I'm thinking about the shawl design. It's always exciting to see a new idea slowly become something you can hold in your hands.
