I've been knitting for more than forty years.
Designing has been part of my life for decades.
But after my mother died, I discovered something I hadn't fully understood before.
Knitting wasn't just something I loved to do.
It was something that could carry me through.
That experiece changed me.
It reminded me that making something with our hands isn't just about the finished object.
Sometimes it's about comfort.
Sometimes it's about celebration.
Sometimes it's about remembering someone we love.
And sometimes it's simply about making it through one more day.
That's why I created Knit A Rainbow.

Rhinebeck came home with me. 🐑
I may have returned from Rhinebeck with a little bit of fiber. Okay… maybe more than a little. 😂
Right now, my spinning wheel is getting quite the workout as I play with some of the beautiful Rhinebeck booty I brought home. There’s something I love about starting with a braid of fiber and watching it become yarn right in front of me—especially when I have absolutely no idea what it wants to become yet.
For now, I’m just spinning, playing with color, and enjoying the process.
Making things matters—even when you don’t know what you’re making yet. 🌈
